Dr. Manu K. Vora is Chairman and President of Business Excellence, Inc., a global quality management consulting firm. He has over 48 years of leadership experience and has guided Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. Baldrige Performance Excellence assessment process. For more than 30 years, he has taught operations management at business schools worldwide and has contributed to over 680 educational institutions globally, reaching more than 12,000 participants. In 2016, he was appointed a Fulbright Specialist by the U.S. Department of State. In the same year, he completed a GIAN programme sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, at IIT (BHU). In 2018, he completed his first Fulbright Specialist project at IIT (BHU), sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
Dr. Vora holds a B.Tech. (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi (1968), and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Chicago. He also holds an MBA with specialization in Marketing Management, USA. He is a Past Vice President of ASQ and an ASQ Fellow. He is a sought-after speaker on business excellence and quality management, with over 1,270 presentations delivered in 36 countries across five continents. He has published over 75 scholarly articles and written 50 blog posts on quality management.
Since 2013, he has delivered soft skills sessions using technology to more than 100 colleges and universities in India, benefiting over 1,100,000 students, faculty members, and professionals. He also served as an invited member of the AICTE NEP 2020 Implementation Plan Strategy Committee in 2020.
Dr. Vora has received 60 awards and honours for his outstanding professional service, including the Fulbright Specialist appointment from the U.S. Department of State. He has also received 40 awards and honours for his lifelong community service, including the U.S. President's Volunteer Service Award. In 1968, he received the J. N. Tata Scholarship for his graduate studies at IIT Chicago in the U.S.
